You may qualify if you are a Canadian resident, have no access to private dental insurance, have filed your required tax return and have an adjusted family net income below $90,000. Eligibility and applications are managed by the Government of Canada.

CDCP Coverage Details

CDCP pays a percentage of its established fees based on family income. You may still have a co payment or additional charges if our fee is higher than the CDCP fee or if a service is not covered. We give you a written estimate before treatment.

Family income below $70,000

CDCP pays 100% of its established fees. Additional charges may still apply.

Family income from $70,000 to $79,999

CDCP pays 60% of its established fees. The patient pays the remaining 40% and any additional charges.

Family income from $80,000 to $89,999

CDCP pays 40% of its established fees. The patient pays the remaining 60% and any additional charges.

After explaining my situation of loose upper right wisdom tooth that's swelling making it impossible to chew, she got me in for 8:30. Drove in before 8:30, did some minimal paper work and had my tooth extracted and left before 9:00, as I had
my son to give a ride to work at 9.
I recommend this Wilson East dental office highly.

Who is eligible for CDCP?

The plan is now open to all eligible age groups, including seniors, children under 18, adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit, and adults aged 18 to 64. What does CDCP cover?

CDCP helps pay for exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, gum treatment, crowns and dentures. Some treatments need approval from Sun Life first. We confirm exactly what is covered before we start.

How much will I pay?

It depends on your family income. Below $70,000, CDCP pays 100 percent of its established fees. From $70,000 to $79,999 you pay 40 percent, and from $80,000 to $89,999 you pay 60 percent. Additional charges can apply if our fee is higher than the CDCP fee, so we give you a written estimate before any treatment.
